How Orléans Scoring Works
Orléans spends the whole game building an engine of followers and then settles up once at the end. Nothing is scored round by round: when the last round finishes, four buckets are added together and the highest total wins. Here's each one — and where the points quietly pile up.
1Coins
Every coin left in front of you at the end of the game is worth 1 point. That makes money in Orléans genuinely awkward: coins pay for the Town Hall, for tiles, and for penalties along the way, but anything you hold onto converts straight into score. Count the coins in your supply — not the ones you spent — and enter the number.
2Goods Variety
Goods score for variety, not volume. One type of good is worth 1 point, two types 3, three types 6, four types 10, and all five types 15. Duplicates of a type you already have add nothing to this bucket, so a lone brocade is worth far more than a fifth sack of grain. Work out which step you reached on that scale and enter the points — not the number of goods tiles.
3Trading Stations
Each trading station you placed on the map is worth points equal to your development track level at the end of the game. Because it's a multiplication, the two halves feed each other: stations are only as valuable as your development, and development only pays off if you actually got stations onto the board. Multiply your final track level by the number of stations you built and enter the result.
4Citizen Tiles
Citizen tiles are collected over the course of the game, and each one carries its own point value. They tend to arrive quietly — one here, one there — and then sit off to the side while everyone counts coins and goods. Gather the citizens you earned, add up their printed values, and enter the total.
Orléans also has expansions — Trade & Intrigue and Invasion are the main two — which add new content on top of the base game; the four buckets above still anchor the final tally.
