Keep your games — get Meeply freeHow Kingdomino Scoring Works
All of Kingdomino is scored at the end, when every kingdom is finished. Here's each piece, including the crown rule that decides most games.
1Territory Scoring
This is where almost all of your points come from. A territory is a group of connected tiles that share the same terrain type. Score each one by multiplying its number of tiles by the number of crowns inside it, then add every territory together. A five-tile wheat field with two crowns scores 5 × 2 = 10. The catch that trips everyone up: a territory with zero crowns scores nothing, no matter how large it is — a sprawling ten-tile forest with no crowns is worth a flat 0. Add up your territory totals and enter the single number here.
2Harmony
An optional bonus from the base rulebook: if you managed to place every domino you drew without ever discarding one, score 5 extra points for a perfectly built kingdom. Any domino that could not be legally connected gets discarded, and a single discard breaks Harmony for good. This is all-or-nothing — enter 5 if you never discarded, otherwise 0. Leave it at 0 if your table is playing the plain base game without the variant.
3The Middle Kingdom
The other optional base-rulebook bonus: if your castle ends up in the exact center of your finished 5×5 kingdom, score 5 extra points. It only pays out when every one of your tiles slots around the castle so it lands dead center. Like Harmony, this is all-or-nothing, so enter 5 if you earned it or 0 if you did not.
Bigger Kingdoms
Queendomino is a full standalone sequel that adds buildings, towers, taxes, and a queen; it can be played on its own or combined with Kingdomino for a grander 7×7 kingdom. Kingdomino: Age of Giants is an expansion that drops in giants who stomp onto your board and cover up crowns until you pay them off, and it also bumps the two-player game up to a 7×7 grid. Kingdomino Origins reimagines the base game in a prehistoric setting with fire, volcanoes, and tribe abilities across three escalating game modes. The same tiles × crowns heart, dressed up in different kingdoms.
